Hi! I'm Aaron. It's 2023, and I'm revamping my website after 12 years.
If you've been to this site before, you're likely familiar with my estimation work and my two books How Many Licks and Ballparking. You might even have seen my Diary of Numbers blog or my Reddit AMA. I'm excited to say that after a long hiatus, I'm writing another book, this time on something other than estimation. I'm still in the early stages of writing, so stay tuned for updates.
The world has changed a lot since I wrote my last book. This includes personal, cultural, and technological changes, (I didn't even have a smartphone when I wrote Ballparking!) This site needs to change too.
While there will still be goofy estimations (including a migration of the old Diary of Numbers blog posts to the new website), my goal is for it to be more useful for folks who visit. I'm still toying with ideas for what that means, so there's going to be some experimentation. Feel free to check back every week or so and see what changes. I welcome any feedback on what might make the site more useful for you.
